摘要

The effect of modulus of elasticity in rail-wheel contact problems of port crane has been analyzed byapplying three-dimensional finite element model. Three kinds of material which has different modulus ofelasticity were used in wheel. Two different types of rail have been used to contact with one type of wheel inorder to model two different types of contact,point-contact and line-contact. Based on this model,theANSYS10.0 finite element software is used to solve these problems. The accuracy of numerical results isstudied by comparing the theoretical results according to Hertz contact theory.The effect of modulus ofelasticity is discussed by comparing the contact stresses.
