摘要

This paper theorizes on the sociotechnical dynamics andrnunderlying dimensions of technology assemblages thatrnemerge from the use of social technologies inrnorganizations. This theorization reflects more precisely therninformation ecology around knowledge workers, which isrnmore technologically diversified than suggested by priorrnstudies. To that end, this work differs from the few studiesrnof social technologies and many studies of ICT inrnorganizations by focusing on more than one technology andrnby considering social technologies as an assemblage. Inrnorder to advance current theorizing about technologyrnassemblages, this works draws on data from a study ofrnknowledge workers’ use of social technologies forrnknowledge sharing and presents three complementaryrnanalytic lenses: Practice, Structural, and Interpretive.rnIntegrating the three lenses, allows us to holistically capturernthe disparate dimensions of social technology assemblagesrnenacted by knowledge workers.
