This paper proposes a network analytic-based method inrnorder to better facilitate interdisciplinary dialogue atrnconferences. Using a network composed of papers andrnsubject headings of the 2013 ASIS&T ConferencernProceedings, its structure is first analyzed by applying arncommunity detection algorithm and two major centralityrnmeasures: betweenness and degree centralities. Arncombination of degree centrality measurements, along withrna qualitative evaluation of the results of thosernmeasurements, form a novel method that could potentiallyrnconnect collections whose content may have beenrnpreviously “siloed” into separate tracks.
