摘要

Although social data has been investigated and discussedrnregarding its impact on indexing and retrieval performancernon the web, there has been little research conducted onrnstoring or linking social data and identifying bibliographicrnrelationships among social data for further use of socialrndata. In this paper, we discuss our work in progress thatrnaims to develop a social metadata repository which wouldrnbe an important implication for making social data morernvaluable and reusable for searching and retrieval. Werndescribe FRBR (Functional Requirements of BibliographicrnRecords) conceptual model’s Entity-Relationship (ER)rnview on bibliographic relationships and demonstrate howrnsocial metadata are encoded in RDA (Resource Descriptionrnand Access) and how the implicit bibliographicrnrelationships of social data are explicitly represented asrnRDF (Resource Description Framework) triples (Subject –rnPredicates – Objects) with links to external sources. Wernbelieve that the shareable and linked metadata repository ofrnsocial data is remarkably significant, not only because itrnsupports the accessibility to related documents, but alsornbecause it is clarifying the implicit semantic relationshipsrnamong social data.
