摘要

This poster reports a qualitative exploratory study of data reusernprocesses, and factors scientists consider when decidingrnwhether or not to reuse data. Findings from this study revealedrnsix core theoretical variables along with 28 influential factorsrnthat were salient across interviews and supported by researchrnliterature. The synthesis of findings led to the development of arnmodel that draws upon the Unified Theory of Acceptance andrnUse of Technology (UTAUT) to investigate scientists’rnintentions and behavior towards the reuse of research data. Thernproposed model offers a novel approach to the current base ofrnknowledge that has been essentially exploratory andrnatheoretical in nature. It also serves as the foundation for arnfuture larger scale research that expects to provide guidelinesrnfor policymakers, open data advocates, and data repositoryrnstakeholders to better attune policies and repositories tornscientists’ expectations and needs.
