In the foundation of plastic phase bonded corundum brick and the analysis of the damage mechanism for refractory in Blast Furnace ceramic cup, by adding compound additives, the introduction of an organic binder and optimization of firing were studied to develop a New Generation of TD-I ceramic cup for large-scale blast furnace.XRD and SEM analysis show that the main phase of the product are corundum and silicon carbide, combined phase of the surface and the base portion is slightly different, metal plastic phase and non-oxide formed by reaction for base portion and dendritic mullite with glass as combined phase for surface.It is because of metal plastic phase relieve stress effects and the filled pores effect of non-oxide and mullite formed by reaction,making the product in addition to have a low porosity and high compactness, but also have very excellent thermal shock resistance and good volume stability.The product is expected to be applied to the outlet,taphole, hearth and other parts for large-scale Blast Furnace, especially for the Blast Furnace with the low-grade material is used.
