摘要

The production of Mag Carbon or Alumina Carbon products requires a tempering process, which usually runs between 200-350℃ and in some special cases up to 700℃.All these products either contain pitch for pitch bonded products or resin for resin bonded products.Even though these binder materials are quite different from each other, they both contain substances which are known to be highly carcinogenic and therefore very high on the list of dangerous polluting materials.Many producers of such bricks hesitate to install afterburners onto their tempering kilns, due to the very high energy consumption.A tempering kiln with an integrated after-burning system, which uses the complete afterburner energy in the heating system for the kiln process, is an ideal solution for pollution free tempering without additional energy costs.
