摘要

MgO-C brick is a type of refractory material with high temperature resistance, strong slag resistance,stable thermal shock resistance, it is mainly used in ladle slag line.During the sulfur steel smelting process, the ladle bricks on the slag line is often damaged seriously by the mixture erode of liquid steel and slag.Research shows that the erosion of ladle bricks on the slag line is related to the position of single argon brick, the angle of double argon brick,the flow of argon gas, molten steel temperature,electrode position, steel grade, slag basicity, and other related factors.And it can improve the servicing life of bricks obviously when the position of single argon brick is within 0.67R, or the double argon brick's angle is between 120° and 150°.The three-phase electrode on the ladle center position, molten steel temperature is controlled below of1685 ℃, and reduce the slag basicity adequately, and the argon flow is controlled with a proper flow that ensure the liquid steel cannot be exposed to the air during refining process.
