摘要

Stanley M.Miller, CPESC, is a Professor of Geologial Engineering at the Unviersity of ldaho and has 23 years of experience in deotechnical site characterization, geotechnical engineering design, erosion and sediment control, and applied geostatistics. He has directed research projects in recenty years that have focused on landslide mitigation, sediment control on forest roads, erosion prevention on highway slpes, and rockfall hazard assessment. He also serves as president of ERE Systems Inc., as supplier of earth retention and enhancement products. He received his B.S and M. S. degrees in Geological Engineering from the University of arizona, his Ph.D. from the University of Wyoming, and is a registered professional engineer in several westerm states and in the provience of Briths Columbia.
