To evaluate novel countermeasure protocols in arnspaceflight analog setting before validation on thernInternational Space Station, NASA’s Human ResearchrnProgram is sponsoring a multi-investigator bed restrncampaign that uses a combination of commercial andrncustom-made exercise training hardware to conductrndaily resistance and aerobic exercise protocols. Theserndevices include the stand alone zero-gravity locomotionrnsimulator, horizontal squat device, Lode commercialrnsupine cycle ergometer, Cybex commercial prone legrncurl machine, and Quantum Fitness commercialrnhorizontal leg press. This paper will describe thesernpieces of hardware that are used to support current bedrnrest studies at NASA’s Flight Analog Research Unit inrnGalveston, Texas, USA.
