This paper describes an open architecture anti-jam (A/J) GPS test facility. The test facility provides a low-cost, flexible, and rapid prototyping environment for the development of various high-performance digital signal processing (DSP) based interference mitigation techniques. By evaluating proposed A/J techniques in a common framework, we can identify their limitations and gain valuable insight into their performance thereby reducing the development risk of next generation GPS receivers. As an example, we will describe the integration of an adaptive narrowband filter (ANBF) in the form of a frequency domain excisor (FDE).
