摘要

A stream of 9 5% O_2 and 5% CO_2 was "sparked" in an ozonator to produce ozone and then bubbled through a solution containing Ehrlich adenocarcinoma (EA) cells in their mother liquid or normal saline. Different aliquots of the solution were exposed to the ozone for 1, 2, 4, 8, or 12 minutes and injected intraperitoneally into different groups of CF, female mice. The 4-minute exposure was the minimum time required to prevent the marked increase in body weight, the marked decrease in colonic temperature and the early death, which normally occurs in the first few weeks following intraperitoneal injection with untreated EA cells.
