This paper presents an analysis of the steady-state interaction between anrnasymmetric wheelset and track, derived from the parametric excitation of sleepers.rnThe track model consists of two uncoupled rails (Timoshenko beams), each of themrnresting on discretely equidistant supports. The model of the periodic support has twornthree-direction Kelvin/Voigt systems for the rail pad and the ballast, and a mixedrnKelvin-Voigt/Maxwell system for the subgrade. Also, the inertia of the sleeper andrnthe ballast block has been introduced. The wheelset is considered as a uniformrnTimoshenko beam with attached rigid bodies for wheels, axle boxes and drivingrngear. The equations of motion are solved by means of the Green’s function method.rnThe parametric resonances and the corresponding sub-harmonic parametricrnresonances are being analysed.
