An "Anthropometry Module" for the Articulated Total Body model (ATB is distributed by the US Airforce Research Laboratory) was developed for the win95/NT platform. Incorporating the most recent anthropometric data of Singaporeans, the processes built into the software allows the generation of manikins representative of agiven population or individual. The interface allows a user to provide a description of the desired population, and to customise the manikin so that the safety aspect differneces between individuals and populations in a dynamic environment can be analysed. The software's applicability in generating boundary conditions for a detailed finite element analysis of the cervical spine will be explored and used i nthe future.
