From the products of fluorination of fullerene with MnF_3 at 485℃/ 0.005 mBar, we have isolated C_(60)F_(26), C_(60)F_(28), C_(60)F_(30) and C_(60)F_(22). All four compounds have been characterised by EI mass spectrometry, and the first two have been further characterised by both 1D and 2D COSY ~(19)F NMR spectroscopy, showing them to have C_s and C_1 symmetry respectively; their structures have been conjectured. C_(60)F_(22) has a unique ~(19)F NMR spectrum showing it to be a difluoro derivative of C_(60)F_(20) 'Saturnene'.
