RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) is a transducer whose working principle is based on the electrical resistance variation of a pure metal wire with temperature. It displays high linearity in a wide range of temperature. In this paper, the fabrication and characterization techniques of planar RTDs are presented. The RTD will be connected to a microcontroller to become part of a flow rate measurement system.
