In the last decade, we have been investigating some novel approaches by which high-throughput single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and copy number variations (CNVs) analysis can be realized with the help of magnetic nanoparticles, especially for the simultaneous detection of multiplex loci for a number samples. In this review paper, we retrospectively introduce the advances for the research and give some expectation in the near future.
