Development of Teaching Competences of Teachers with Pedagogical and Engineering Degree

At secondary schools there are a lot of teachers who reached engineering level of education but who have not graduated from faculties of education. One of sub goals of inhere described project was to fulfill the need of development and improvement of their instructional competences. This paper provides readers with an insight into A Modern and Efficient High - school Teacher' project which is a joint university and secondary school educational project ranking among European Social Fund Projects. Effective forms of education of high-school teachers, E-learning and the process of education at the secondary school and Language education of high-school teachers form three basic modules of this educational project. An analysis of the results of current educational needs of participants of the project preceded the elaboration of individual training modules. Main findings from the analysis are described in the paper. Aims of the project, methodology of work, analysis of participants' needs and content frames of individual modules form the key parts of the paper. " This work was supported by the project GACR 406/09/0669 "Evaluation of the modern technologies contributing towards forming and development university students' competences".
