摘要

Reflection photoelasticity is commonly used in industrial applications. as a means of determining the surface strain and stress distributions in components and structures. In certain applications the technique suffers from some limitations. namely that a photoelastic coating has to be applied and the output data is usually in the form of the principal strain difference. The time penalties, which result from coating application and subsequent data processing, can hinder the rapid production of data.
