摘要

A method for designing flextensional actuators for static and low-frequency applications has been proposed. This method is based upon topology optimization using the homogenization design method. The method consists of designing a flexible structure connected to a piezoceramic (or stack of piezoceramics) that amplifies and converts the output piezoceramic dis-rnplacement. The examples show that new types of flextensional actuators that produce large output displacements in different directions can be designed using the proposed method.
