In order to meet the challenge faced by PETRONASrnCarigali’s recent accelerated growth, an IntegratedrnTechnology Solution (ITS) was developed to optimisernand stream-line key business elements of data, process,rntechnology and people development. The DatarnOwnership and Management initiative emphasized onrnthe project team members’ ownership of the data as keyrncorporate assets and set the proper policies andrnprocedures for handling, storing and retrieval of data andrninformation. The Process Optimisation initiative,rndelivered an optimised and collaborative road map forrnthe project team to select the optimum route to producernthe Field Development Plan (FDP), while definingrnstandards for the deliverables, milestones for validationrnand peer reviews. The Technology Mastery initiativernprovided a framework for a structured and self-drivenrndevelopment of the project team members. This ITSrnprogram is a step forward towards a knowledge enabledrnlearning organisation where skilled knowledge workersrnuse readily available, clean and validated data andrninformation, through optimised and collaborativernprocesses that leverage on state-of-the-art technologiesrnto increase hydrocarbon reserves and companyrnprofitability.
