The main goal of the paper is to propose a finite element procedure for the non-linear static and dynamic analysis including the viscoplastic Bodner-Partom model. The basic equations of the constitutive model are given, and the proposed concept has been applied by the user-defined subroutine UVSCPL to the commercial MSC.Marc code, which enables its application to a wide range of different finite elements. The problems of dynamic analysis of a circular plate are presented to show the accuracy of the proposed approach. Additionally, an improved concept of the Rayleigh damping multipliers is taken advantage of in the dynamic analysis. For the validation of the proposed FE procedure the numerical simulations are compared with experiments. The calculations were mainly aimed to improve the numerical results obtained in the work by Klosowski (1999).
