摘要

The recently developed Batch type centrifugal machines have revolutionized the field of sugar processing. The performance of these machine has excelled and culminated to achieve not only large quantity of massecuite processing per cycle but also to achieve the improved quality of sugar in terms of ICUMSA colour and lower moisture content. But still there stands a disparity in performance due to constructional features between machine to machine manufactured by sugar machinery suppliers for the machine of same capacity. Modern batch machines have high processing capacity, reduced recirculation of sugar, reduction in cost of production and minimum power consumption.This paper deals with design & performance parameters which requires due care during the stage of design and operations.
