A conventional compositional model for WAG injection in arnmedium-viscosity oil, low-temperature reservoir like SchraderrnBluff Pool in the Milne Point Unit, Alaska was developed.rnCompositional simulation of WAG displacement with CO2-rnnatural gas liquid (NGL) and Prudhoe Bay gas-NGL mixturesrnshowed that three-hydrocarbon phases formed in situ becausernof low temperature. The sensitivity of oil recovery in a 2Drnquarter five-spot pattern to relative permeability, WAG ratio, rnslug size was studied. Unfortunately, the spatial resolution wasrnvery low in the compositional simulations, thus leading tornsevere numerical dispersion. It was prohibitively timeconsumingrnto run multi-dimensional, compositionalrnsimulations with four fluid phases on fine grids in arnconventional finite-difference simulator. To solve thisrnproblem, a four-phase streamline-based compositionalrnsimulator has been developed.
