摘要

4-Arylalkkoxyquinazolines ar a class of highly active wide spectrum fungicides against cereal and braod leaf pathogens.Activity optimisation through an extensive rationally designed,SAR program yielded a 4-(4-trifluoroethoxyphenethoxy)-8-fluoroquinazooine which,unfortuntaely,priove too phytotoxic in the field,Safenign was achieved through introduction of a methyl group at positin6 of the quinazoline but at the expense of reduce bioloigcal sepctrum.Modlecular modeling prodictios suggesting tha tbitolicial specturm could be restored by replacemdent of the phenyl group by "azabenzenes" were vibndicated.
