A class of pyridinylpyrimidine fungicides represented by compound 1 is presented.Synthetic methods for the preparation of theswe novel ocmpounds and structure-ativity relationships are discussed.these compounds show broad specum control of plant pathogens with excellent activity on wheat eyespot (Pseudocercosporella herpotrichoides),wheat leaf blotch (Septoria Nodorum) and rice blast (Pryicularia oryzae).the imopact of photolabikityh on the commerical viability of htis class of fungiciees is highlighted.
