Oil is produced from the Manderson Field, in Big HornrnCounty, Wyoming, from a fracture system with possiblernsignificant lateral connectivity. So characterizing the fracturesrnin this field is of great importance. Amplitude Versus Offsetrn(AVO) and Azimuth (AVAZ) analysis of 3D seismic data isrnused to determine fracture strike and density at well locationsrnin the Manderson 3D. The result of the analysis described inrnGray et al (1999) is compared to fracture strike analysis fromrnoriented cores for three wells within the Manderson 3D, tornoutcrop analogues and to outcrop at the Zeissmann Dome, 10rnmiles to the SE of Manderson Field.
