A novel electro-assisted advanced process was developed for wastewater purification and recovery, which could promote the degradation by achieving synergetic effects of UV radiation and electrocatalytic reaction. The results showed that the combination of electrocatalytic and UV radiation greatly improved the removal efficiency of organic matters in water. The investigation of industrial wastewater and domestic water has been carried out to examine how the applicability of the method for water purification. It indicates that by applying the method the treated wastewater meet the requirement of the regulation of National standards or local government standards.
