摘要

Located in the south-west Karst rock mountain areas of China, the city of Guilin is famous all over the world for its green hills, clear water, fantastic caves and spectacular rocks. It is one of China's best-known tourist scenic cities. But in recent years, the rock mountains of Guilin have been damaged severely . A detailed investigation about the development and utilization of Karst rock mountains in Guilin city was conducted. It turned out that the main existing questions were as follows: primitive and crude exploitation manner; unplanned and robbery exploitation; insufficient ecology protection and recovery; exploitation without permission; uncontrolled sheep grazing. On this basis, some countermeasures are put forward: reinforce law execution and management; change the surface exploitation to underground exploitation; pay attention to the protection and recovery of rock mountain ecology; collective exploitation.
