摘要

Oil supply security in China has been increasingly a great concern all over the world. Considered in the angle of sustainable economic and social development, China must break a path of oil-saving economic development, and must have the oil consumption controlled efficiently within 350 MT in 2010 and 450 MT in 2020. To secure oil supply, it is a must to bring domestic oil resources into full play and to improve oil security by way of oil import diversification and overseas oil exploration and development. To alleviate oil pressure, the alternative energies , esp. gas should be developed with great efforts. As the second largest oil importing country, China is obliged to set up its own strategic petroleum reserve.
