The aim of modern education is to form an educational environment that supports the mental development of students rather than loading their brain with information. Gardner claims that human intelligence does not consist of only one structure but consists of 8 different intellectual areas. The aim of this study is to design a course plan and course material to be used on “renewable energy”, one of the most significant subjects of chemistry recently, by applying multiple intelligence theory. It becomes necessary to look for alternative energy resources as the gap between energy consumption and production increases, the traditional energy production methods cause environmental pollution, and those energy resources are limited. Therefore, energy policies tend to focus on sustainable energy systems and renewable energy sources. “Renewable Energy Sources” are defined as “the energy resources that remain the same in the following day within the evolution of nature itself”. That is, the energy is obtained from a continuous energy current that exists within the nature. Therefore, it is a must for the society to adopt the term “renewable energy” and to be informed about the studies on the subject. It would be helpful to inform the member of the society about the features of renewable energy resources and their usage in daily life. The individuals should be included in the process of awareness in different education levels and age groups. Within this study, a course plan for secondary schools has been designed with curriculum development professionals, a set of course material has been developed for teachers and students by referring Gardner’s multiple intelligence theory, and measurement and evaluation applications have been carried out.
