During online shopping, a customer can not try on a garment, but identify the suitable one from his or her own experience. Hence, the selected garment size does not always fit the customer. To solve this problem, a framework of optimal selection of garment sizes for online shopping is presented in this paper. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is employed to calculate the synthetic matching degree between customer's measurements and the corresponding key-part values of ready-to-wear sizes. We consider not only the matching degree between static body measurements and garment sizes, but also the comfort requirements for body physiological activity and movements. In order to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method, we provide an example of selecting the fittest sizes of men's top. The results have shown that the proposed method is useful to provide objective and scientific decision-making reference in clothing's online shopping application.
