The purpose of this research is to provide N. Glantz & Son, a distributor of sign supplies, with solutions to several problems they are currently facing, with the focus being to provide a recommendation for future ordering policies. Specifically, this entails determining which products should be ordered directly through the vendors by branches and which should be ordered through the distribution center by branches.; Two methodologies were proposed for the developing a solution to the company's goal to improve ordering methods. The first method was a high-level historical data analysis, which would require some simplifying assumptions with the goal of uncovering an obvious solution. The second method was to develop a simulation model in ARENA version 10. Though this analysis would take more time, it could more accurately model N. Glantz & Son's system, which might lead to more accurate and diverse recommendations.; The data analysis was performed and resulted in limited inferences. The differences between the two ordering methods were for the most part, not significant enough to provide any sound recommendations. Because of this, the simulation model seems to be the more appropriate method of analysis and work is continuing on it at the present time.
