Investigating axially loaded pile behavior in limited liquefied sands is of great importance as it can cause unpredictable pile failure that has not yet been clearly understood. The technique presented in this work allows for the determination of the mobilized shaft resistance of axially loaded piles in non-liquefied sands and sands with limited liquefaction. It also allows for the prediction of load-transfer (t-z) and pile-head load-settlement curves under drained and undrained conditions. The technique accounts for pre- and post-liquefaction situations and allows for the assessment of free-field porewater pressure variation due to a seismic event, in addition to the near-field PWP due to axial load contribution. It employs a post-liquefaction constitutive model for sands with limited liquefaction to calculate shear stress/strain variation along the pile. A computer FORTRAN code has been developed to employ the presented technique. Case studies are presented to validate this technique for both drained and undrained situations.
