The purpose of this education master plan is to ensure the best use of the Utah Botanical Center's (UBC) unique resources by (1) selecting the type and sequencing of new and existing programs for the next five years, and (2) recommending the support infrastructure and resources needed to implement these programs at the UBC. Program-related objectives included assessing the educational needs of K--12 students, the general public, university students, and industry-related professionals; and selecting appropriate program types to efficiently fulfill their educational needs.; In order to implement these programs in an efficient and timely manner, this plan proposed a staffing model; outlined a volunteer recruitment, training, and management plan; inventoried needed site improvements based on audience impacts; identified synergistic programming opportunities between site and program partners; and estimated program expenses and identified viable funding sources.; Education is the single most valuable, compelling, and attractive service that the Center can provide to stakeholders. With proper planning and timely execution, the Utah Botanical Center will become an invaluable educational resource to the people of Utah and is well deserving of support.
