With the significant pressure placed on higher education administrators, and more specifically Title IX Coordinators, to manage compliance of the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) guidance on Title IX, this study has focused on the perceptions of the of individuals tasked with this obligation. To determine from the individuals on the front line of this issue just what kind of priorities and support the institutions are placing on this significant issue.;This qualitative study was designed to explore the perceptions of Title IX Administrators in Arkansas higher education institutions on implementing OCR guidance. This study has examined the perceptions of the challenges these administrators face with the added pressures of compliance with federal requirements regarding Title IX.;The data for this qualitative study has been collected from interviews conducted with the Title IX Coordinators at the sample higher education institutions in the state of Arkansas chosen to be participants in the study. A sample of six higher education institutions in the state of Arkansas has been used consisting of two public community colleges, two public four-year universities, and two private four-year institutions.;The perceptions of the Title IX Administrators were collected and analyzed for this qualitative study by focusing on the following research questions: 1. How do Title IX Administrators perceive institutional support for compliance with Office for Civil Rights guidance? 2. What type of training do Title IX Administrators receive? 3. How do Title IX Administrators perceive effectiveness in meeting the expectations and requirements for compliance with Office for Civil Rights guidance? 4. How are Title IX Administrators providing prevention training for all students, faculty, and staff?
