传统术语学观点认为，科学语言应是严谨客观的，不能使用隐喻这种“修饰”的、不准确的语言形式来表达科学概念。因此，科学隐喻研究一直未受到应有的重视。然而，在认知视角下，科学隐喻却具有极大的认知研究价值，它是表达概念内涵的重要手段，能反映人类在该领域的认知变迁和知识演变。突破传统术语学对隐喻术语研究的局限，从认知角度研究科学隐喻，具有双重属性，一方面通过隐喻术语的特点、认知模式及其蕴含的文化因素可考察学科发展轨迹及人类在该领域形成的经验和知识演变，另一方面可揭示不同民族认知世界的方式、特点和差异，这对于把握具体学科发展特点及术语发展规律具有重要意义。%Traditional terminology holds that scientific language is precise and objective without metaphor and inaccurate expression. So,the research on scientific metaphor has not deserved expected attention. However, in the view of cognition,scientific metaphor plays its great role for cognitive studying,for it functions as the key way to expression connotation of concept,reflecting human′s cognitive changes and knowledge evolution in this field. Breaking the limits of traditional terminology upon studying of metaphor terms,we should probe into the dual attributes of scientific metaphor from the perspective of cognition,on one hand,observing the trace of subject progress,man′s experiences and knowledge evolution in the characteristics of metaphor term,cognition mode and contained cultural factor,on the other hand,revealing world view,mode,character of different na-tions,which has great meanings for grasping the characters of specific subjects development and the rule of term progress.
