Huangmei opera is a local opera popular in Hubei, Jiangxi and Anhui Province.The regional characteristics of Chinese traditional art are very distinctive, with each place having its unique features.The formation of traditional artistic features in each region reflects the artistic temperament of different regions.This paper discusses the evolution of Huangmei opera and the root cause of its popularity in China.It holds that the charm of Huangmei opera results from its artistic elements from the grassroots culture and its power of learning in keeping up with the step of the times.It is a portrait of Chinese grassroots'' emotional enthrallment and evolution of ethical evaluation.
