Objective: To investigate the tumor suppressor gene expression of p16 and KLF6 in development and progression of gastric cancer. Methods:The protein expression of pl6 and KLF6 in 73 cases of gastric cancer and corresponding adjacent tissues was detected with immunohisto-chemistryv SP method ) and examined for the relationship of the expression status and clinicopathological picture. Results: p16 and KLF6 were generally expressed at low levels in gastric carcinoma and lower in poorly differentiated gastric cancer than moderately or highly differentiated cases. Fxpression of the two genes were prominent in cases with more extensive lymph node metastasis and associated with cclinical stage. The two proteins were positively correlated with each other ( r = 0. 326 ). Conclusion:pl6 and KLF6 are closely associated with the occurrence, progression , invasive degree and metastasis of gastric cancer, and positively related to each other. Combined detection of pl6 and KLF6 protein expression may have certain value in diagnosis and estimation of the prognosis of gastric cancer.%目的:探讨胃癌组织中抑癌基因p16与KLF6在胃癌发生、发展中的作用.方法:应用免疫组化SP技术,检测73例胃腺癌组织中p16与KLF6的表达,分析其与临床病理特征的关系和两基因之间的相关性.结果:胃癌组织中p16和KLF6均呈低表达,在低分化胃癌中显著低于高-中分化胃癌,在淋巴结转移较多时其表达明显下降,与临床分期密切相关.两基因之间表达呈正相关(rs=0.326).结论:p16和KLF6对胃癌的发生、发展、侵袭和转移起重要作用,且两者之间存在相关.联合检测两者的表达水平对胃癌的诊断和预后有一定的参考价值.
