A computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model for expansion muffler is built and verified by test,on which a numerical analysis is conducted by using CFD software ANSYS CEX to investigate the effects of various structural parameters on the pressure drop of expansion muffler. The results show that there is a critical expansion ratio, where the pressure drop reaches a peak value, for every expansion muffle of definite structure. The critical expansion ratio increases with the rise in length of expansion chamber and the reduction in diameter of inlet and outlet tubes.%通过试验验证了所建的CFD模型,采用CFD软件ANSYS CEX对扩张式消声器进行了数值分析,探讨了各结构参数对压力损失的影响.结果表明,每一个确定结构的扩张式消声器都存在一个压力损失为最人的临界扩张比,扩张腔长度越大、进出口管径越小,则临界扩张比越大.
