The article reviewed the studies and network informa-tion about sea cucumber in the past ten years,considering the poisonous and harmful substances in sea cucumber from its growth to the production process,summarized and discussed the poisonous and harmful substances in sea cucumber and the detection method which may provide references for the food and drug safety research of the products of sea cucumber.
