In 2011, international situation was unpredictable, China's economic development growed slowly, the steel industry also experienced in a serious situation. In this paper, in view of the steel industry situation in 2011, the author analyzes supply and demand of iron ore and exploration of iron ore, resource safeguard, iron ore production, import of iron ore and so on, prospecting for supply and demand situation of iron ore in 2012. On the basis of the above analysis, the author puts forward to policy suggestions of development and utilization of iron ore resources.%2011年,国际局势变化莫测,中国经济发展增速下降,钢铁行业在这一年也经历较为严重的局面.本文针对2011年钢铁行业的形势,分析了铁矿供需以及铁矿的勘查、资源保障、铁矿石产量、铁矿石进口等方面问题,展望2012年铁矿石供需形势,在以上分析的基础上,提出铁矿资源开发利用的政策建议.
