Objective To analyze the prevalence status of tobacco among residents of 15 -69 years old in Gansu Province and to provide the scientific base for tobacco control policy and intervention measures.Methods October to De-cember 2012,the multi-stage stratified PPS sampling method was used to randomly selected the residents (15 -69 years old)from 10 counties as the subjects,which were investigated with questionnaire.Results 2136 subjects were investiga-ted,the smoking rate and current smoking rate were 35.7% and 30.9%,respectively;the smoking rate and current smok-ing rate (70.8% and 60.9%)in males were significantly higher than those (3.2% and 3.1%)in females (P <0.01). There was no significant difference of smoking rate between urban residents (35.3%)and rural residents (35.9%),as well as current smoking rate between urban residents (29.9%)and rural residents (31.4%)(P >0.05).The proportion of often smokers in present smokers was 88.0%,the mean smoking amount of male often smokers was (14.3 ±8.6)ciga-rettes.The smoking-cessation rate and quitted smoking rate of male smokers were 13.5% and 7.3%, respective-ly.Conclusion Tobacco prevalence in Gansu Province is serious,especially the high rates of smoking,the low rates of smoking-cessation and quitted smoking.The comprehensive measures of tobacco control should be taken.%目的：了解甘肃省15～69岁居民烟草流行状况，为控烟政策、干预措施的制定提供科学依据。方法2012年10—12月，采用分层多阶段 PPS 抽样方法，随机抽取10个县区15～69岁常住人口进行问卷调查。结果全省共调查2136人，吸烟率为35.7％，现在吸烟率为30.9％；男性吸烟率和现在吸烟率分别为70.8％、60.9％，明显高于女性（分别为3.2％、3.1％），差异均有统计学意义（P ＜0.01）；城市和农村居民吸烟率分别为35.3％、35.9％，现在吸烟率分别为29.9％、31.4％，差异均无统计学意义（P ＞0.05）。现在吸烟者中经常吸烟者所占比例为88.0％，男性经常吸烟者日均吸烟量为（14.3±8.6）支。男性吸烟者戒烟率及成功戒烟率分别为13.5％、7.3％。结论甘肃省烟草流行严重，特别是男性居民吸烟率高，戒烟率和成功戒烟率低，应积极采取措施加强控烟工作。
