To eliminate the influence of non-uniform illumination on colour image , the colour image enhancement algorithm based on HSI and local homomorphic filtering is proposed .Firstly, the image is transformed from RGB colour space to HSI colour space .Then, the local homomorphic filtering is executed on luminance component , and the block effect caused by local homomorphic filtering process is removed by the method of averaging the adjacent sub-images boundaries .The hue and saturation components are kept invariant .Finally, the image is converted from HSI colour space to RGB colour space once again , and the enhanced colour image is obtained .Experimental results show that the images enhanced by the proposed method have uniform illumination , moderate shade and clear detail , better than the results of global homomorphic filtering.%为了消除光照不均对彩色图像的影响,提出基于HSI和局部同态滤波的彩色图像增强算法。首先,将图像从RGB颜色空间转换到HSI颜色空间。然后,对亮度分量进行局部同态滤波,并对局部同态滤波过程中产生的块效应采用相邻子图像边界平均的方法去除。色调和饱和度分量保持不变。最后再将图像从HSI颜色空间转换到RGB颜色空间,得到增强后的图像。实验结果表明,采用所提的方法增强后的图像光照均匀,明暗适中,细节清晰,优于全局同态滤波的结果。
