China started research work on exterior insulation fire prevention technology since 2004. A set of fire safety technology has been initially formed so far. This paper summarized relevant technical achievements,generalized the progress of external thermal insulation fire prevention technology in our country,and proposed next research orientation. Finally pointed out that materials of fire-resistant should be combined with structural fire protection to solve the problem of external thermal insulation fire prevention,the combustion performance of insulating material level should be fundamentally gradually increased,so as to ultimately achieve the overall fire safety of building insulation engineering.%我国自2004年开始进行外墙外保温的防火技术研究工作。迄今已初步形成了一套防火安全技术。本文对相关技术成果予以总结，概括了我国外保温防火技术的进展，并提出了下一步的研究方向。最后指出，解决外保温的防火问题，应将材料防火与构造防火相结合，从根本上逐步提高保温材料的燃烧性能等级，从而最终实现建筑保温工程整体的防火安全。
