By summarizing the forms of the scene of "The Assembly at Vulture Peak plus the Assembly in the Air" and its development in the Lotus Sutra Illustrations at Dunhuang, this paper presents a restudy on its naming. It considers that the somewhat unusual composition was intended to create a comprehensive narrative context of the sutra illustrations and argues that the scene should not be identified as a depiction of a single chap-ter.%本文在对敦煌法华经变中"灵山会+虚空会"场景的几种表现形式及形成过程进行归纳、整理的基础上,对其定名进行了重新思考,认为这一场景的构图目的是为了营造经变画面叙事的整体语境,不应单纯地将其定名为某一品.
