Education modernization is the process of adapting to economic and social modernization,and the modernity grows continuously as well. It is also a state of advanced development. Organizing modernization construction, taking the region as an implementation unit,is the basic project to promote economic development,social progress and people's livelihood. In recent years,Jiangsu Province has taken the homeopathic initiative and adhere to the principal of provincial co-ordination,government-led,both internal and external implementation,focus highlight; meanwhile to strengthen the step-by-step implementation,classification guidance,standard-led,construction via assessment. Jiangsu actively explores regional education modernization,which leads to a substantial increase in education development. At present, there are several characteristics evident in the coexistence of connotation construction and extension development,thus there lies an imperative necessity of the philosophy guided by modern education, fulfilled by the main task of structure adjustment and led by equality and quality as the direction. Therefore,modernization of education into the development track of connotation and quality as the main melody can be promoted,and the development of education reform can be more balanced and sufficient.%教育现代化是教育适应经济社会现代化,现代性不断增强的过程,也是达到先进发展水平的一种状态.组织以区域为实施单位的现代化建设,是推进经济发展、社会进步、民生改善的基础工程.近年来,江苏省顺势而为、主动作为,坚持省级统筹、政府主导,内外兼顾、突出重点,强化分步实施、分类指导,注重标准引领,以评促建,积极探索推进区域教育现代化建设,带动了教育事业发展水平的大幅提升.当前,呈现出内涵建设为主的阶段性特征,迫切需要以现代教育理念为引领,以结构调整为主线,以公平与质量为主攻方向,推动教育现代化步入以内涵发展与质量提升为主旋律的发展轨道,促进教育改革发展更加平衡、更加充分.
