Objective To observe and examine the effect of nursing intervention on the improvement of blood pressure and self-management ability of elderly hypertensive patients (EHP).Method The effect of conventional care for the control group (n=100) and the effect of comprehensive nursing intervention for the experimental group (n=68) on the diastolic blood pressure (DBP) and systolic blood pressure (SBP) of the EHP were firstly observed and compared .The cases of complication and the self-management abilities of the two groups were then examined .Findings After the intervention , the SBP and DBP of both groups were significantly improved as compared with before the intervention .The improvement in the experimental group was more significant (P<0.05).The experimental group developed better self-management ability and had fewer cases of complication than the control group .The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Comprehensive nursing intervention can improve EHP's blood pressure, enhance their self-management ability and reduce complications.%目的：观察并探讨护理干预对老年高血压（ Elderly hypertensive ，EHP）患者血压状况及自我管理能力的改善效果。方法对比观察常规护理（对照组，100例）和综合护理（观察组，68例）对EHP患者的舒张压（ DBP ）、收缩压（ SBP）水平影响，统计两组患者自我管理能力及并发症情况。结果干预后，两组患者舒张压及收缩压较干预前均显著改善，且观察组改善较对照组显著（P＜0．05）；观察组各项自我管理能力均优于对照组，并发症发生率低于对照组，差异均有统计学意义（P＜0．05）。结论综合护理干预能有效改善EHP患者的血压，增强其自我管理能力，减少并发症发生。
