Based on the movement conditions of rail tramcar in the underground tunnels, a monitoring system for realtime detecting and displaying the passing by tramcar's quantity, speed, and load capacity, which is also provided with accident warning function for rear-end collision prevention, is designed. The system is composed of underground axle counter, tunnel signal lamp, site PLC and above-ground PC.
