Based on the analysis of current situation of water consumption,the potential of water-saving was predicted and analyzed from the angles of urban domestic,irrigation and industrial. The results showed that if the current irrigation area,industrial added value and urban population were stable, there would be 25 868.75 × 104 m3 of water saving in 2011,36 975.46 × 104 m3 of water saving in 2 015,39 227.98 × 104 m3 of water saving in 2020.%在呼和浩特市现状用水水平分析的基础上,从城镇生活、农田灌溉及工业三大行业计算了该市的节水潜力,得出在保持现状灌溉面积、工业增加值、城镇人口不变的情况下,2011、2015和2020年分别可节水25 868.75万、36 975.46万、39 227.98万m.
